Qwickly Attendance Classic
This robust course tool enables faculty to track and grade attendance or participation with ease in any Blackboard Learn course.
Comprehensive Attendance & Participation Tracking
Take the pain out of tracking and grading student attendance with Qwickly Attendance. This robust course tool enables faculty to take attendance that is automatically graded in the Blackboard Grade Center. Instructors can take attendance by using an attendance list on screen, allowing students to check in on their own browser, or using existing Student ID cards to check in when entering class.
Multiple Attendance-Taking Modes
Qwickly Attendance provides several attendance-taking modes. Take attendance manually using a full list of students or click through students one by one, start a student check-in session in which students can check in on their own devices, or integrate with USB card readers for reading student ID cards with a variety of card readers for an extra layer of verification.
Keep grades up to date all semester long. Eliminate the need for faculty to calculate grades while simplifying administrative work. Faculty can set an attendance point value that will keep student attendance or participation grades up to date throughout the semester. This feature creates a single grade column that is automatically maintained and updated immediately upon taking attendance or editing the student's record.
Effortless Faculty Adoption
Flexible design and an intuitive interface combine to create a tool faculty can learn in minutes, allowing their focus to remain on teaching.
Create unlimited customizable attendance statuses, like tardy and extra credit, or statuses that fulfill specific course requirements, like tracking student participation. Qwickly Attendance supports an unlimited number of sessions per day and allows for both system-level and course-level attendance models. Add specific titles to differentiate sessions on the same day or highlight important term dates.
Customizable Email Alerts
Automatically notify students when they are marketed absent. Send a customized email alert message to students each time they are marked absent in a course, potentially improving class attendance.
Instructors can allow students to check in to class on their own devices using the Blackboard, Canvas, or D2L app. Checking in allows instructors to skip manually taking attendance and gives students credit for being in class. For extra security, Qwickly Attendance can automatically generate a 4 digit pin for students to enter.
ID Card Reader Support
Card reader mode allows instructors to take attendance for large courses with a swipe or tap of a student's ID card. This is done by using a USB card reader that is hooked up to one or more computers. Students will swipe or tap their existing ID cards to be counted as present. Qwickly Attendance has support for USB ID card readers, including magnetic strip, RFID or barcode, and is compatible with nearly every card vendor on the market.
Instructors can record specific information regarding student absences or provide feedback on participation. The instructor has the ability to keep comments private or share them with the individual student.
Student Record View
Students have a unique view of the attendance screen, which allows them to see their own course record, stay on track with any attendance policies, and review instructor feedback. Of course, students are not able to see the record of any other student.
Attendance records are displayed in a grid view by date, allowing for easy editing. Instantly switch record order from oldest first to newest first. Easily change a student's attendance status to correct an error or report an excused absence, by clicking the cell for their record. Review totals of each status for all students at a glance in the status summary view and easily identify the number of presents, absences, tardies or other statuses accumulated.
Download and save your attendance records as a CSV file open as a spreadsheet. Instructors can choose what data to include in this download in a customization panel.
Student Photo Integration
Easily identify students while taking attendance with a simple one-time setup that displays photos in the tool. This integration of student photos into attendance screens can help improve name recognition.
